The Savoy Grill, London
We were proud to be commissioned to restore and redesign The Savoy Grill, one of London’s most iconic restaurants.
Care was taken to preserve the room’s original table plan, which included Winston Churchill’s favourite table, and evolve the function of the room to provide contemporary service tastes.
Taking inspiration from the hotel's famous art deco roots, the room is carefully panelled in tortoiseshell vitrolite, backed in hand applied gold leaf to produce a beautiful glowing wall effect. The studio also worked in partnership with Swarovski components, to make four striking chandeliers to dominate the room.
"We are pleased with the Russell Sage Studio team and their working ethos, which is carried out in a particular ‘hands on’ manner. Their proactive working including branding, uniform design, photography, press and promotion have greatly increased the speed and cost effectiveness of the projects."
