The Zetter Townhouse
The Zetter Townhouse has quickly become a landmark for the Clerkenwell community, recently winning it’s owners London Hotel of the Year 2012 in the Good Hotel Guide.
The special project to restore two Georgian townhouses into a 13-bed hotel, cocktail bar and restaurant, along with Games room. Imagine the building as if inherited from an eccentric great aunt. The building is full of obsessively collected antiques and bespoke wall murals to give great personality to the space.
"The light-blue front door leads straight into the cocktail lounge, where designer Russell Sage has taken no prisoners. Miss Havisham meets Ms Westwood, over a bottle of absinthe...framed needlepoint, velvet couches, polished oak, a stag's head, stuffed birds in a Victorian glass case, and a triumph of taxidermy. It only happens once every few years, but when I came across a 'Real Hotel for Girls', it makes the schlep utterly worthwhile."
